Asian Gambling
Illegal gambling is prevalent throughout Indonesia. Dense population and police corruption have allowed illegal casinos to operate without regards to the Islamic ban on gambling. That’s the reason for many of the online gambling company go in to Indonesia market. In additional this country is a biggest country compare with other Southeast Asia country.
Asia’s high-growth gambling markets are now well-served by both domestic as well as Internet gambling products, several of which are provided by large commercial operators with a sophisticated knowledge of the market plus the new technologies. A global lottery would face much less competition in the smaller countries of sub-Saharan Africa, however this is neither a large market nor a growing market. These are all factors to consider as we now turn to the revenue-raising potential of the global lottery.
In my culture, the somewhat money-orientated Chinese culture, gambling is nothing but daily entertainment, something to occupy yourselves with over a cup of tea or some rice wine with friends, a must-do during family get-togethers on Chinese New Year, or a fun activity you see going on under a tree in a random park. That is our version of gambling, or Majhong, as we call it. However, in recent years, as the western world invaded Asia, more and more “casinos” or “pachinko slots” have started mushrooming all over the country, and you often hear news of people fighting, even resorting to murder, over conflicts of money lost over gambling.
People gamble on everything: sports evens, dice, and cards. Even though people gamble every day in the United States, it is still illegal. People do gamble everyday, so why is it not legal. Gambling should be legalized. There are tons of ways to gamble. Anybody can pretty much gamble or make a bet on anything.
Nevertheless, many people believe that gambling is immoral and hurtful to society and the only way to solve this problem would be to ban gambling altogether. However, gambling is not the evil monster that many believe it is. Gambling can be helpful to the economy in many ways. Building casinos helps to create more jobs.
Gambling has been very popular since the beginning of time when people would use instruments of divination in order to try to predict the outcomes of important events such as wars. These devices were very similar to the ones we use for gambling today (Gambling). Gambling continues to be quite popular in today’s society.
Why gamble? What good can come from gambling? Gambling can help our economy by keeping money here in out on state. “Proponents say it keeps money in the state” (Legalized Gambling 2). Another huge reason on why gambling should be legalized in the fact that it would draw a huge number of tourism to our state.
Gambling is the risking of money or other possessions that’s mostly depends on chance and luck, even tough some forms of gambling may be influenced by skills. Some stereotypical forms of gambling are found in casinos they include: roulette, blackjack, craps, poker, slots and many others. Nevertheless, there are other forms of gambling that people would not even consider them so such as playing the lottery.
This can also be beneficiary because the money from the taxes goes to help the public. Many people do not want to legalize gambling because they think that it would bring in crime, but crime will be present in spite of whether gambling is legalized or not. Cities who have made gambling illegal have as much of a problem with crime as cities who have an economy that is based on gambling.
Legalizing gambling is thought to bring in many bad things along with it. People are going to continue to gamble whether it is legal or not. Making gambling illegal does more harm than good. If we legalize gambling, we would be helping our economy and those in need. If we examine the cities with casinos, we would see that they are very well off.
